Orbit in Claude and ChatGPT
What Orbit does
Orbit turns the posts people save or send it into ready-made skills for their agent. Each skill keeps the creator's own name and words and credits them; Orbit packages and delivers, it doesn't rewrite. In a chat, Orbit shows you skills that fit what you're building and adds the ones you pick to your agent.
Connect Orbit
Claude (claude.ai, the Claude apps):
- Open Settings, then Connectors, and add Orbit from the directory, or choose Add custom connector and enter
https://orbitskills.app/mcp/agent. - Sign in with Google on Orbit's page. If you're new, this creates your Orbit account.
- Check that the request is from Claude, then click Allow.
ChatGPT: add Orbit from the app directory (or, with developer mode on, as a connector with the same URL), sign in with Google and click Allow.
Want Orbit on your computer too? Sign in at orbitskills.app/connect for the full setup with Claude Code or Codex. Skills you add in a chat reach them on the next sync.
Things to try
- “Set up Orbit for me.”
- “I'm launching a TikTok Shop brand. What skills should my agent have?”
- “Add the cold email writer to my agent.”
- “Save that one for later.”
What Orbit can do in a chat
- Get started: where you are in setup and the next step.
- Remember what you're building: saves it as your current focus so picks fit. Saying something new replaces it.
- Show picks: a few skills with what each does, who made it and why it fits, plus the skills you already have.
- Add a skill to your agent: only after you say yes. It's ready in the chat right away and in Claude Code or Codex on the next sync.
- Save a skill for later: keeps it in your Orbit without adding it.
- Your account: which Orbit account is connected.
Orbit never deletes anything, posts anywhere or sends messages from a chat.
What it reads and writes
Orbit reads only your own Orbit account (what you told it you're building, skills you added or saved) and the skills it made from creators' public posts. It never reads your email, files or computer from a chat. It writes only to your own Orbit, and only when you ask: what you're building, or a skill you add or save. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Disconnect or delete
- Remove Orbit in your chat app's connector settings, or disconnect any app on orbitskills.app/connect.
- Delete your whole Orbit account under Your data in Orbit. See Deleting your data.
Troubleshooting
- Sign-in loops or fails: allow pop-ups and third-party sign-in for orbitskills.app, then remove and add the connector again.
- “Unauthorized” after it worked: your sign-in expired or was disconnected. Reconnect from the connector settings.
- No picks: tell Orbit what you're building first (“I'm building …”), then ask for picks again.
- An added skill isn't in Claude Code or Codex yet: it arrives on your agent's next sync; until then, use it in the chat.
